Commentary of results:
This year’s cohort missed approximately one third of normal schooling over the two year Key Stage.
Overall attainment is slightly down from the previous year. Variables to take into account for this are the loss of learning time and a lower academic profile for the 2021 cohort compared with 2020 cohort.
Results still show a positive trend over a 5 year period in terms of number and level of qualifications.
The average number of qualifications achieved was 5.8 per student compared to 6.5 in 2020
The highest individual grade was a 6 achieved in Art. This is the highest GCSE grade recorded in the last 5 years.
